The Homer Foundation
The Homer Foundation is a community foundation, a vehicle through which individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations are able to make gifts and bequests to benefit Alaska's lower Kenai Peninsula. These assets are invested and prudently managed and the income used to address a broad spectrum of needs in the community. The Homer Foundation is both flexible and permanent in nature, thus assuring donors that the spirit of their gift will endure.

Summer Events Support Homer Foundation:

Halibut Cove Live, in collaboration with Homer Foundation, presents a summer series of music events, July 7th (New Music), 1st, (Bluegrass), and 27th (Jazz). A six mile boat ride across pristine Kachemak Bay takes you to Quiet Place Lodge, a new concert venue hosting Halibut Cove Live events.  Enjoy this unique boating, musical and dining experience that, from start to finish, exemplifies art amongst nature’s splendor while supporting your community foundation!

2013 Scholarships Awarded

May is scholarship season, and a busy time at the Homer Foundation.  Homer area students benefit from a variety of permanently endowed scholarship funds administered by the Foundation.  This year area students received $22,750 in scholarship awards.  Each of the review committee’s had an exceptionally difficult task due to the high caliber of the applicants.  Read More>>
